Thanks to everyone who participated in last week’s “Secure Your ID Day”! Hosted by the Better Business Bureau, the event drew a crowd of 500 cars, with attendees bringing over 16,000 pounds of personal documents to be shredded.

While safeguarding your personal information is the first step to protecting your finances, another important aspect of maintaining your overall financial health to have a good credit score. Everyone knows that your credit score is an important factor when applying for loans, but did you know that insurance companies and sometimes even potential employers may look at it, too? Making sure this three digit number is as healthy (and as close to 800!) as possible will play a big role in your fiscal well being.
